Elderly Woman Injured in Coventry Hit-And-Run

COVENTRY, RI — An elderly woman was hit and injured while crossing the street in Coventry Tuesday morning, police said.

The woman in the crosswalk at Arnold Road and Tiogue Avenue around 8 a.m. when she was hit, according to police. She was injured in the leg, but declined medical treatment at the scene.

The vehicle was described as a gray, older model pickup truck, police said. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact Coventry police at 401-826-1100.
