Kent Hospital to Host Second Annual Electronics Recycling Collection Event

Kent Hospital’s Keeping It Green program is partnering with Metech Recycling and is scheduled to hold the second annual Electronics Recycling Collection Event, on Saturday, June 30, 2012 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Kent Hospital.

This event is free and open to the community. Participants can bring any personally-owned electronic device or devices to Kent Hospital on June 30 and Metech Recycling will recycle the items responsibly while protecting the owner's identity.

This recycling event is for obsolete and unwanted personally-owned devices such as audio and video tapes, batteries, cameras, cell phones, microwaves, complete computer systems, copy machines, fax machines, hard drives, keyboards, laptops, printers, scanners, stereos, televisions, DVD players and much more.  Small refrigeration units can be recycled for a charge of $25.

For a complete list of what items can be recycled please visit the Metech Recycling website at www.metechrecycling.com. The electronic recycling trucks will be located in the large parking lot across from Kent Hospital’s Emergency Department.
