Felony Assault; Threats To Public Officials: Coventry Police Log

COVENTRY, RI — The following people were arrested by Coventry police between Sept. 23, and Friday.

Sept. 23

8:39 a.m. — James Medeiros, 73, of Scituate, was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after an incident at DePetrillo's Bakery.

Tuesday

10:29 a.m. — Daniel Mello, 42, of Coventry, was charged with domestic vandalism and domestic disorderly conduct.

5:31 p.m. — John Turner, 34, of Coventry, was charged with felony assault, threats to public officials, simple assault, possession of scheduled narcotics, and disorderly conduct. Police said the arrest happened after a disturbance on Knotty Oak Road.

5:31 p.m. — Kelly Thurber, 48, of Coventry, was charged with disorderly conduct and a warrant out of the West Warwick Police Department.

Wednesday

8:14 a.m. — Derrick Watters, 45, of Providence, was charged with conspiracy following a call for service at the Walmart in Coventry.

Thursday

1:43 p.m. — Diane Bell, 57, of Coventry, was charged with disorderly conduct following a disturbance at a home.

2 p.m. — David Silva, 39, of Johnston, was charged with shoplifting on a warrant out of the Coventry Police Department.

9:10 p.m. — Keith Silva, 51, of Coventry, was charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct.
