Fire Rips Through Coventry Home
A family of four was displaced by a house fire on Weeks Hill Road in Coventry on Saturday night.
COVENTRY, R.I. -- A family of four was displaced Saturday evening after a fire destroyed their Weeks Hill Road home.
According to Coventry Police, the fire broke out just before 11 p.m. Several other fire crews were called in to assist the Western Coventry Fire Department in fighting the flames. Weeks Hill Road was closed to traffic as crews worked to extinguish the fire.
All four residents of the house, two adults and two children, were able to get out of the house safely. The family is being assisted by the Rhode Island Red Cross.

The State Fire Marshal's office was called to the scene to investigate the cause, which is still under investigation.
