Forcing flowering tree branches is easy and will bring some spring into your home. While we await the frigid air and snow to subside to spring, think about forcing flowers. Simply locate your favorite flowering bush or tree. I like to force forsythia. I have them in my yard . Cut branches about two feet long on a angle. Note always cut above a bud (nodule) this will keep your tree growing full and will not damage the remaining branch. It is important to cut with a sharp pair of pruners, never snap a branch. Bring fresh cut branches in the house and place in your favorite vase with about 3-4 inches of water. The warmth of your home will help the flowers to bloom. Enjoy
