Heavy rain will soak Rhode Island Thursday and bring an end to a stretch of unseasonably warm temperatures this week.
The showers and scattered thunderstorms on Thursday and Thursday night “will produce heavy rainfall, which may lead to flooding issues,” according to the National Weather Service. Up to 2 inches of rain is expected.
The heart of the storm will move through during the New England Patriots’ Thursday night game in Foxborough.
