Heavy rain and strong winds could lead to flooding and power outages across Rhode Island Tuesday.
The National Weather Service issued an alert for the whole state, forecasting about 2.5 inches of rain and wind gusts exceeding 50 mph. The strongest winds will occur Tuesday morning and afternoon, making driving difficult likely knocking out power to some areas. Flooding is a possibility.
More rain is in the forecast for Wednesday. Thursday could feature light snow before things clear up for the weekend.
