Hundreds of Cyclists to "Ride the Rhode" This Weekend for MS

The "Ride the Rhode" ride supports Rhode Islanders with MS and research efforts to find a cure.

A dedicated group of bicyclists will be hitting the road this weekend to log 150 miles in an effort to raise money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

The “Ride the Rhode” ride supports Rhode Islanders with MS and research efforts to find a cure. Their goal is to raise $530,000. And it’s one heck of a ride.

It starts at Narragansett Pier School at 235 South Pier Road on Saturday not far from the water and meanders along a 75-mile-route that ends up at the University of Rhode Island’s Kingston campus. There, riders will enjoy the Harpoon Beer Garden and a barbeque. Plus they’ll get massages, dinner and entertainment before tucking in at URI for some rest before an early-morning departure and another 75 mile jaunt that ends where they started in Narragansett. The entire route is marked with orange and blue markers.
