Jeffrey A. Butler Named Treasurer of Two Real Estate Trade Organizations

Coventry resident, Jeffrey A. Butler- Broker/Owner of Butler Realty Group, with offices in Warwick, has recently been named to two Board of Director positions in the real estate industry.  Butler will now serve as Treasurer of both the RI Commercial & Appraisal Board of Realtors (RICABOR), and also of the RI Statewide Multiple Listing Service (MLS).

As Treasurer of MLS, Butler, who has been a member of the MLS Board of Directors since 2008, will oversee the budget, and approve payments. MLS as a member service organization of over 4,000 Real Estate Licensees and is a subsidiary of the RI Association of REALTORS.

“The mission of MLS is to empower, support and educate our members to achieve their goals by providing cutting edge resources that improve and enhance their business and personal lives, and I’m pleased to be given the opportunity to further the mission," said Butler.

As Treasurer of RICABOR, Butler will perform much of the same function as he will for MLS. 

He has been also on the Board of Directors of RICABOR since 2008 and has been an active member of RICABOR since its inception in 1985. The RI Commercial and Appraisal Board is a dynamic and growing professional organization that is focused on bringing commercial practitioners and real estate appraisers quality programming, educational options, political advocacy, and networking opportunities.

Butler Realty Group is a full service Realtor, specializing in commercial and investment properties, with both residential sales and rehab divisions.  Butler has been a RI realtor since 1977 and has been a member of the Central Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce since 1983, and currently sits on it’s Board of Directors.  He is also a member of the International Executives Association, RI Chapter (RI Execs) and has served on its Board of Directors, as well as serving as President.
