Lillian D. Schmitt, 91, of Gardner Road, West Kingston, RI, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2014 at Shady Acres Nursing Home, in South Kingstown, RI. Born in Keene, NH, she was the wife of the late William O. Schmitt, Sr. and the daughter of the late Frederick and Lillian (Hood) Franklin.
Lillian was a textile worker for various mills. She loved working in her garden growing her own flowers.
She is survived by a son; William O. Schmitt, Jr. and two grandchildren; Dillon and Rachel Schmitt.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 7, 2014 at 10:00 am in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery, West Warwick, RI. Kindly omit flowers.
