Malnourished Dog Found In Coventry Euthanized: Police Investigate
The sick dog was rushed to Ocean State Veterinary Specialist but after examination, the veterinarian said he needed to be euthanized.
COVENTRY, RI — A dog found extremely malnourished Saturday night with ribs visible had to be euthanized because of the severity of its injuries.
At about 10:45 p.m., police were called to Sherwood Valley Road after residents found the dog roaming in the street. When Coventry Animal Control arrived, they determined the middle-aged male Pit Bull needed immediate medical attention.
The sick dog was rushed to Ocean State Veterinary Specialist but after examination, the veterinarian said the dog needed to be euthanized because of how much he was suffering.
