Man Sexually Assaults Patient At West Warwick Doctor's Office: Police

WEST WARWICK, RI — An employee at a West Warwick doctor's office was arrested Thursday after police said he sexually assaulted a patient.

Altaf Hussain, 72, of West Warwick, was charged with first-degree sexual assault.

On July 17, West Warwick police received a complaint that an adult patient at the Urological Specialists of New England on Quaker Lane, was sexually assaulted by an employee during an exam. After a lengthy investigation, police said they identified Hussain as the suspect and issued a warrant for his arrest.

On Thursday, West Warwick and Woonsocket police teamed up to arrest Hussain at a doctor's office in Woonsocket.

Hussain was arraigned Thursday at Kent County District Court in Warwick.
