Monday Essentials: MLK Holiday, CCFD Board Meeting and More

MLK Day: Due to Monday's Martin Luther King, Jr. Day holiday, schools and all municipal, state and federal offices are closed. In addition, trash and recycling pickup in Coventry will be on a one-day delayed schedule for the week. Click here for a complete rundown of what's closed in and around town today.

CCFD Board Meeting: Members of the Central Coventry Fire District Board of Directors will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening, Jan. 21, in the Town Hall Annex auditorium (1675 Flat River Road) to discuss ongoing district business. Click here to view the meeting agenda. 

Planning Commission: At 7 p.m. Wednesday, the Coventry Planning Commission will meet at Town Hall (1670 Flat River Rd.) to discuss a sidewalk for the proposed Waterman Hill Road Minor Subdivision and various items of old business. Click here to view the meeting agenda.

CPD Safety Event: From 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23, the Coventry Police Department will hold a free Child Seat Installation and Kids Workshop at Crystal Cleansers, located at 1 Coventry Shoppers Park.

Toddler Stories and Songs in Greene: The Greene Public Library, located at 179 Hopkins Hollow Road, Greene, will host Toddlers, Tunes & Tales this and each Friday morning from 10-10:30 a.m. The program is intended for children ages 1-3 accompanied by a parent or caregiver and will feature songs, movement and a fun story.
