More Snow Possible Thursday, Followed by Bitter Cold
Many Rhode Islanders are running out of places to put shoveled snow.

After Rhode Island saw nearly anywhere from a few inches to a foot of snow on Monday, it’s time to gear up for yet another winter storm on Thursday.
As of Tuesday morning, the forecast is very uncertain and most computer models are predicting a small amount of snow, perhaps just a few inches. But the forecast could change as the storm approaches and snow totals could increase a bit.
The National Weather Service says there’s a 30 to 60 percent chance for “several inches of snow” late Wednesday night into Thursday evening.

One thing is certain — it will remain bone-chillingly cold through the rest of the week, especially on Thursday night. The overnight low is expected to be just about 1 degree and the high on Friday will be just 15 degrees.
Even though Thursday’s snowfall might only leave behind a few inches, many Rhode Islanders weary of shoveling Monday will struggle find places to put the new flakes.

Monday’s storm delivered a wide range of snow on top of the nearly two-feet that fell during last week’s blizzard. North Kingstown got 5.1 inches but East Greenwich saw 8.1, according to the National Weather Service. Inland areas saw even more — Warwick and Cranston got more than 10 inches and Burrillville got 13.
