Nardolillo: Thank Trump For Economic Upswing
Bobby Nardolillo, who's running for U.S. Senate against incumbent Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, says the good news reflects Trump's impact.

COVENTRY, RI — State Rep. Bobby Nardolillo's campaign office sent out a press release Monday. Nardolillo, a candidate for the U.S. Senate, believes "the recent stream of good news coming from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics" is due to President Trump's efforts. Here is the press release.
"He characterized recent US economic trends as showing beneficial growth. He also linked this reversal from the dark days of the Great Recession to the positive impact of the Trump Administration on America. "In the last three monthly reports we've seen the US Unemployment Rate stabilize around 4.3%." Nardolillo said in a formal statement. "Not only that, but since last November's Election more than 900,000 Americans are estimated to have returned to the workforce. They're taking advantage of the hundreds of thousands of new jobs being created monthly."
"The Candidate contends that today the number of Americans looking for work has increased dramatically, and the Bureau of Labor Statistics backs him up. That means falling monthly unemployment percentages plus big increases in the raw number of workers going back on the job. "So more and more of us are working and paying taxes." Bobby summarized. "That means more Americans can afford to buy cars and homes, and all that economic activity points to a booming America in as little as two years."
"Nardolillo also highlighted the meteoric rise of US Stock Market indices, starting the day after the last Election. "It all adds up to a sense of motion in the country that ordinary Rhode Islanders will be able to ride to better economic conditions in their home budgets, too." He said. "I'm running for the US Senate to put myself in a position to help the future growth we are sure to see now that the US Economy has been unleashed."

Rhode Island, however, continues to lag in finding jobs for the number of eligible workers who are seeking employment. Statistics do indicate the unemployment rate has improved. But according to the American Association of Retired Persons, only 0.40 jobs exist for every Rhode Islander looking for work.
