Nardolillo Unseats Guthrie in House Dist. 28 Race

Robert A. "Bobby" Nardolillo handily defeated incumbent Democrat Scott J. Guthrie by a margin of 64 to 35 percent.

All summer, Coventry’s Robert A. “Bobby” Nardolillo had been pounding the pavement and knocking on doors.

A political newcomer, Nardolillo, widely known as a funeral director at Nardolillo Funeral Home in Cranston, has been a resident of Coventry for six years and said when he announced his candidacy in February that he wanted to “stand up and have a voice.”

“With all the stuff going on in our town with political figures, it would be nice to have an occasion that isn’t related to anything negative,” he said.
