North Kingstown Hiring Police Officer

North Kingstown is seeking qualified candidates to establish an eligibility list for hiring a new police officer.

Candidates must be 21, have no criminal convictions,a driver’s license, 60 college credits at the time of application and must pass a physical agility test, a written test and a psychological exam.

In lieu of college credits, two years of active duty or four years of Reserve or National Guard service with honorable discharge is acceptable.

Applications must be sent to the Town Manager’s Office, 80 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown RI 02852. Applications must be received by Sept. 25.

Copies of birth certificate or naturalization papers and copies of driver’s licenses must accompany completed applications. Official transcripts must be sent from college directly to the North Kingstown Police Department at 8166 Post Road, North Kingstown, RI 02852 and/or military service discharge document (DD-214).

Applications are available at Town Hall, Town Clerk’s Office and Town Manager’s Office and/or at www.nkpolice.org.
