Obituary: Vincent "Jimmy" Longo Sr., 86

Vincent “Jimmy” Longo Sr., 86 of Buford GA, formerly of Coventry RI, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2014.

He was a son of the late Biagio and Ermenagilda (Santilli) Longo. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-one years, Anna Lillian (Marino) Longo. He was the father of Vincent Jr. and his wife Kimberly Longo of Buford Georgia, Priscilla Longo of West Warwick, Robert and William Longo and Virginia Johnson and her husband Timothy of Suwanee GA. Vincent was the grandfather of Jason Longo, Andrew Plunkett, Vincent Longo III, Tori and Taylor Longo, and Rachel and Elizabeth Johnson. He was the brother of Concetta King, Jennie Petrella and Bernard Longo of West Warwick RI, John Longo of California and the late Antonio, Joseph, Jack and Luigi Longo.

Mr. Longo was born July 6, 1928 in West Warwick, RI. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was retired from Cranston Print Works as a machine printer. He was a communicant of Saints John and Paul Parish, Coventry, RI.

His funeral will be on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 8 am from the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St.,(Rte.117), Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 am in Sacred Heart Church, 820 Providence St., West Warwick. Interment with military honors at Rhode Island Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Exeter. Visiting hours are Friday 5 – 7 pm.
