It has been a long winter, and it’s almost over, but not until we get yet more snow Tuesday night into Wednesday as a quick-moving storm is expected to deliver a few inches to most of Rhode Island.
The National Weather Service said snow is expected to begin in Eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island between 10 p.m. and midnight. The snow will intensify between 1 and 5 a.m. Wednesday and could fall at more than one inch per hour. Travel could be treacherous overnight during the height of the storm.

Snow should end by 7 a.m. Wednesday, which is when the weather service’s Winter Weather Advisory expires, but untreated roads could be a problem during the Wednesday morning commute.
The track of the storm puts snowfall totals highest towards the east. Most of Rhode Island is expected to see anywhere from a coating to three inches.
