Police Investigating Attleboro Shooting Suspect
After talking with the Attleboro MA Police, Coventry investigators executed a search warrant at suspect's home.

COVENTRY, MA — Following Monday's police shootout in Attleboro, Massachusetts, Coventry Police are further investigating suspect Eric Lindsey, 41, of Coventry.
After talking with the Attleboro Police Department, Coventry investigators executed a search warrant at Lindsey's home.
Police said they started conducting a criminal investigation into the suspect's actions over the last several weeks because of information uncovered from the search warrant.

According to Coventry Police, Lindsay has been charged with violent crimes in the past.
"Lindsey is known to the Coventry Police Department for violent altercations that have led to his arrest. The first arrest took place in October 2017 for a DUI where guns were seized, a second incident occurred in which Lindsey attempted to take a Coventry Police Officer’s gun in January 2018, and a third arrest arose in August 2018 in which Lindsey fought with several police officers," Police said.

NBC Boston reported it obtained police reports indicating a history of mental health issues and substance abuse for Lindsay.
