Red Cross Sends Coventry Woman to Help Hurricane Matthew Victims
Leeann Zettl will help people in North Carolina.

COVENTRY, RI -- American Red Cross Rhode Island volunteer Leeann Zettl, of Coventry, is bound for North Carolina to help Hurricane Matthew victims, according to Stephanie Arcangelo, spokeswoman.
Leeann will serve as a feeding services associate, Arcangelo said. She's one of some 3,000 Red Cross volunteers from the Connecticut and Rhode Island area.
So far, seven Rhode Islanders have gone to help the relief effort, she said.

"Since this disaster began," she said, "Red Cross and community partners have served 444,000 meals and snacks, distributed 78,000 relief items, supported 13,000 health and mental health services, and provided 85,000 overnight stays in shelters."
The volunteers are spread across four states.
