Rhode Island Among Top 10 'Least Happy' States
A national survey said the Ocean State has a bad work environment and lack of recreation opportunities.

Rhode Islanders are some of the most unhappy people in the country, according to a new report.
The personal finance service WalletHub this week released its “Most and Least Happy States in America” report and Rhode Island was ranked No. 7 on the least-happy list.
The reasoning? A bad work environment and lack of recreation opportunities, among other factors, according to the report.

The report also took into account depression rates, obesity, income levels, commute time, and volunteerism. Utah was ranked the happiest state; West Virginia was ranked the least happiest. Check out this interactive map with each state’s ranking:
