Thomas Jacques agreed to exit his West Warwick home after speaking with crisis negotiators. Officers then found two pipe bombs, police said.

WEST WARWICK, RI — A Rhode Island man was arrested earlier this month after West Warwick police said he was caught with two pipe bombs he made inside his home.
Thomas Jacques of West Warwick, was arraigned in Third District Court on April 7 and was charged with two counts of possession of materials convertible to a bomb.
Around 3:45 p.m., the day before, Local SWAT teams, the state bomb squad and a Warwick police K-9 unit met at Jacques' home on Renehan Court to execute a search warrant. West Warwick police said some of their officers received credible information that Jacques likely possessed bomb-making materials and was creating improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
