serial.

"We would like to welcome our newest trainee, K9 Ammo," the post begins. "His story is a special one that in full disclosure remains largely unwritten and is still a work in progress."

For starters, he came free from the Putnam, Conn. P.D.

The first installment of Ammo's story has another literary staple-- the acknowledgement.

"But before we begin to tell the tale of K9 Ammo, we must first thank Ammo’s former handler Ofc. Brian Castle and Chief Rick Hayes. Without their generous support, we would not have this opportunity."

The next installment, promised for tomorrow, delves into "how we came to find and meet K9 Ammo," the police said. "Each day this week, we will post a picture and tell a little more of the story of
how K9 Ammo came to Coventry."

Stay tuned.
