Search Continues For Missing Coventry Man

COVENTRY, RI — John Benevides, 46, has been missing since Friday morning. His family is worried. Tuesday, his niece Amanda Benevides spent the day walking all over Coventry posting flyers with her uncle's picture and information. She sent Patch a new picture with his girl friend Kimmie in the hope that might jog people's memories. He's usually seen with her, Benevides said.

According to the Coventry police department's post, he has been "known to travel to Providence via bus and frequent the river that runs along Washington Street in Coventry on foot." Anyone who has seen him or has any information on his potential location is asked to contact Coventry police at 401-826-1100 or email the department at Tips@coventrypd.org.
