Updated: Search for Coventry Woman to Continue

An Army National Guard helicopter will be joining the search later Thursday, police said.

COVENTRY, RI —The search for Patti Pendleton, 59, of Coventry, is ongoing, police said Thursday morning.

"Trained search and rescue crews along with volunteers are actively searching the area," Col. John S. MacDonald said in a press release. "The Rhode Island Army National Guard helicopter unit will be joining the search later today."

Earlier, police sent a tweet thanking all the volunteers for assisting police in scouring the Arcadia Management Area for the woman and her two dogs.

Last night, Coventry police released an updated photograph of her shortly after 5 p.m. in the hope someone will recognize her and come forward with information that could help locate her.

Anyone with information is asked to call Coventry police at 826-1100.
