Stand-Up Comedian Sherrod Small Headlines Four Big Shows at Comix at Foxwoods Beginning June 11, 2015

Comix at Foxwoods welcomes renowned stand-up comedian for a three-night, four-performance event beginning on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. and ending with his “Nasty Show” on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 10:30 p.m.

Born and raised by his mother and two sisters in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, Sherrod Small has headlined at clubs, colleges and corporate events across the nation. With his witty commentary on politics, culture and city life, Small consistently receives rave reviews for keeping audiences entertained with his remarkable comedic talent and improvisation. His comedy has been quoted in The New York Times and on FOX News.

Small is best known for his many celebrity guest off-the-cuff commentaries on various shows airing on VH1, NBC, ABC, FOX, FOXNEWS, MSNBC, CNN and other networks. He can currently be seen regularly as host of United States of Hip Hop on Fuse and as co-host of The Full Hoon on Car and Driver channel. Small regularly appears as a guest on Red Eye on FoxNews is a regular correspondent on Good Afternoon America on ABC and also plays “Malcolm” on Tyler Perry’s Are We There Yet?

Small has appeared on numerous popular shows on VH-1, including being one of the leading cast members of Best Week Ever. Sherrod recently appeared on G4’s The International Sexy Ladies Show and previously starred in AMC’s FilmFakers. Small regularly appeared as a guest on NBC’s Today and FOX’s The Morning Show with Mike & Juliet. He has performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Comedy Central’s Premium Blend and NBC’s Showtime at the Apollo. Small has written for and performed on Comedy Central’s Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn.

When he’s not taking up the airwaves on TV, Small often hosts or performs at various charitable functions, fashion shows and corporate events. He most recently performed at an event to raise money for micro finance loans for poor women worldwide with Veronica Webb and Deepak Chopra and for Safe Horizons to combat domestic violence.

Small has toured the U.S. entertaining thousands of college students with both the New York Comedy Film Festival Tour and the Burly Bear Network Comedy World College Tour and continues to perform for universities and corporate events across the nation. He was selected to perform at the prestigious HBO U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, and starred in the VH1 pilot Unhappy Hour with Dr. Joyce Brothers and Watercooler with John Henson.
