Rhode Island Interfaith Coalition to Reduce Poverty 8th Annual Conference

Join the Rhode Island Interfaith Coalition to Reduce Poverty for our 8th annual conference titled “Tikkun Olam/Repairing Rhode Island” which will be held on Wednesday, May 11th from 8am to 12:30pm at Rhode Island College located at 600 Mount Pleasant Avenue in Providence.
We are a coalition of diverse religious communities and advocacy partners throughout the state who have come together to fight poverty.

We are delighted to welcome Rabbi Jonah Pesner, Director of the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism as our keynote speaker. His reflections will be centered on the theme of Tikkun Olam/Repairing RI. Workshops will focus on topics including senior issues, racial/ethnic disparities, local community collaboration and policy change.
*So what is Tikkun Olam? It is a Jewish concept which loosely translates to repairing the world.
