Materials Bids
Sealed bids will be received at the Office of the Town Clerk, , 1670 Flat River Rd. Coventry, until 2:00 p.m. on May 14, 2012 for the following items listed below, at which time said Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud:

- Heavy Duty Corrugated Polyethylene Pipe & Protective Wrapped Tubing
Specifications and information for bidders maybe obtained at the Coventry Town Clerk's Office. Bids are to be submitted on forms furnished by the Town. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all, or any part of such bids, when deemed in the best interest of the Town. Bid envelopes must be clearly marked.

The Town of Coventry, in coordination with the USDA-Natural Resource Conservation Service is seeking Request for Proposals for Professional Consulting Services for the Design, Permitting, Construction Inspection and Engineering Services related to Remediation and Restoration of the Pawtuxet River in the vicinity of the former Laurel Avenue Bridge which is currently under construction.
Funding for the project is provided by USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service and the Town of Coventry.
Sealed proposals, in triplicate, plainly marked "Sealed Request for Proposals for Engineering Services for Pawtuxet Riverbank Restoration" will be received until May 24, 2012 prevailing time, 2:00 p.m. at the Office of the Town Clerk, 1670 Flat River Road, Coventry, and will be opened by the Town Manager or Designee.
There will be a Mandatory pre-Proposal Meeting on May 10, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Town Council Chambers at Town Hall.
Copies of specifications may be obtained at the Department of Planning/Town Engineer, 1675 Flat River Road, Coventry, RI between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
The Town reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive any informality in the proposals, or accept the proposal deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.
The scope of work shall include but are not limited to the design for removal of the existing, temporary rock rip rap and concrete blocks; removal of the existing riverbank walls within the construction activity area; installation of new concrete riverbank walls within the construction activity area; stabilization of the Anthony Mill tower foundation; geotechnical evaluation; hydraulic evaluation; debris removal, remediation and stabilization of riverbed; securing any and all necessary State, federal and local permits; preparation and submission of cost construction estimate; preparation of construction and bid documents; and otherwise re-establishment of the river channel, re-establishment of the river and construction oversight & administration (exclusive of construction contractor quality control).
Evaluation factors which are more fully set forth in the specifications include but are not limited to: demonstrated experience in the type of work required; history of work involving riverbank remediation; record of firm in accomplishing work within the required time frame; experience in working on projects
