Two Rhode Island Swimming Areas Reopened

Both the upper and lower ponds at the Kent County YMCA and Harmony Hill School have been reopened.

Two Rhode Island swimming areas have been reopened by the Rhode Island Department of Health. Both Harmony Hill School Beach in Chepachet and both the upper and lower Kent County YMCA pondsin Warwick have been declared safe.

The YMCA ponds were closed on Monday afternoon, while Harmony Hill School pond has been closed since last Thursday. Both had unsafe levels of bacteria in the water.
