West Warwick Infant Nearly Died From Maltreatment: DCYF
The 5-month-old's family had no prior involvement with the department.
WEST WARWICK, RI — An infant nearly died last month due in part to maltreatment, the Department of Children, Youth and Families said.
The incident happened on Oct. 15, involving a 5-month-old baby from West Warwick. The department did not disclose specific details, only that the infant nearly died and that maltreatment was a factor.
The family had no previous involvement with DCYF, the department said.
