Woman Struck by Car in Coventry Dies

A 53-year-old woman is dead after being struck by a vehicle on Howard Avenue Monday night.

Police said the woman was walking on the road when she was struck.

Responders gave the woman CPR and she was transported to Kent County Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The woman has not yet been identified. Police have not released any additional information at this time. More details will be posted when they become available.

The driver of the vehicle that struck the woman stopped and stayed at the scene and is not facing charges, police said.
