CRANSTON, RI โ€” Two dogs died in a house fire in Cranston early Thursday morning, according to fire officials.

The fire started at a home on Poplar Drive just before 4 a.m. According to fire officials, no one was home during the fire, except for the two dogs.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
