$2 Million Powerball Winning Ticket Sold In RI, Prize Still Unclaimed
This week was a lucky one in Rhode Island, as someone also won $50,000 playing Powerball, and another resident hit big on Mega Millions.

CRANSTON, RI β Someone won $2 million on a Powerball ticket they bought in Rhode Island, a spokesperson for the RI Lottery said Thursday.
State lottery officials said the winning ticket was sold at the Cumberland Farms at 1933 Mineral Spring Ave. in North Providence.
The winning ticket matched five numbers, but not the Powerball number, to win the standard payout of $1 million. But since the winner opted to pay an additional dollar for the Power Play feature, and the multiplier selected for the draw was two, the prize doubled to $2 million.
