Gallery: 2013 CLCF Basketball Winter Classic Tournament

CLCF Basketball was well represented in their home tournament with four teams reaching the finals, two taking home the champion trophies.

One of the finest tournaments in New England, Cranston hosted 65 teams in six age divisions, scheduling 102 games in various facilities around the city.

CLCF continued their winning ways with champions in the U12 and U13 brackets.

The U13 squad defeated Johnston 64-47, with Sam Hanley leading the way with 19 points. Brett Bucci and Zac Lawson chipped in ten points each in the victory. Defense was key to their tournament run, led by CJ Watson and Sam Franco.

The U12 team won a thriller as they beat East Greenwich with a last-second 3-pointer, winning 35-32. Brett Traficante drained the three with one second on the clock, enabling CLCF to hoist the trophy. Alex Dickerman led the team with ten points and Traficante finished with nine.

CLCF's nemesis, Coventry, claimed the U14 crown, beating our guys 53-41, bringing to a close an all-star team that had been together for five seasons.

In the U11 championship game, West Warwick dashed CLCF's hopes, downing our boys 42-32. The kids went down fighting, led by Nelvin Blanco's ten point performance.

In the U10 finale, East Greenwich defeated North Providence 37-21. Our CLCF U10 team narrowly missed the finals, losing in their semifinal game.

The final bracket saw East Greenwich lose a tough battle to champion West Warwick, 38-40. The CLCF U9 boys played their hearts out, winning one game in their age division.
