4-Year-Old In Critical Condition Following Hotel Pool Rescue
The child was rescued from a Hampton Inn pool on Friday evening. The incident has been ruled to be accidental.

PAWTUCKET, RI — A four-year-old child is in critical condition on Monday after being rescued from a hotel pool on Friday evening. Pawtucket police say the incident was accidental and no charges were filed.
Emergency responders were called to the George Street Hampton Inn around 8:30 p.m. on Friday following reports of a drowning child in the pool. Police said a family was swimming when their four-year-old went missing. The child was found soon after, unresponsive at the bottom of the pool.
Emergency medical workers began lifesaving measures immediately, and the child was rushed to Hasbro Children's Hospital for continued treatment. On Monday, police said the child was on a ventilator and still in critical condition.

Following an investigation, Pawtucket police determined that "no criminal wrongdoing took place" and the incident was completely accidental. As a result, no charges have been filed.
