911 Cox Landline Service Issue Resolved

The issue with COX Communication customers accessing Rhode Island’s 911 system has been resolved, state police said Thursday evening. Customers were asked to make all emergency calls with cell phones during the outage.

The Rhode Island E911 Uniform Emergency Telephone System was unable to accept calls from Cox customers using a landline phone for several hours starting Thursday afternoon.
