PROVIDENCE, RI — A new tenant is moving into the Providence Place Mall. Coming soon, Amazon will open a "4-Star" brick-and-mortar store within Rhode Island's largest mall.

Providence will be one of about 50 "4-Star" stores currently open or planned around the country. It will be the first in Rhode Island. There are currently two in Massachusetts: one at the Natick Mall and another in Millbury.

Amazon said the stores are "designed to help customers discover products they will love." They are stocked with "a highly curated selection of products from the top categories across amazon.com including devices, consumer electronics, toys, games, books, kitchen, home, and more." All products have a four-star or higher rating on Amazon, are top sellers or are new and trending, the company said.
