RI Lottery Mega Millions, Numbers Midday winning numbers for Sept. 15, 2026 (newportri.com) — Cranston residents can quickly check whether yesterday's Rhode Island Lottery drawings made them a winner, with full Mega Millions, Numbers, Wild Money, and Millionaire for Life results listed. If you hit for $600 or more, you'll need to claim your prize at Lottery Headquarters on Pontiac Avenue in Cranston, while smaller wins can be cashed at any retailer.
   

2. Cranston Man Identified in Fatal I-95 Crash in Providence (news-usa.today) — A Cranston resident has been identified as the victim of a fatal crash on I-95 north in Providence late Saturday night, which briefly disrupted traffic while state police investigated. Troopers are still reconstructing how the vehicle left the travel lanes, and have not yet released further details as they notify family and examine possible contributing factors.
   

3. Ballots to be recounted in 3 RI primary races (wpri.com) — Election officials are gathering in Cranston today to recount ballots in three tight Rhode Island primary races, including the Republican governor's contest and two Providence City Council seats. The Board of Elections hopes to certify the results by tonight, so Cranston residents and voters statewide should soon know whether any outcomes change after this closer review.
   

4. Here are the winners from Tuesday's high school games across RI (providencejournal.com) — Cranston high school teams were busy Tuesday, with Cranston West dropping a 2-1 girls soccer match to Smithfield and Cranston East routing Mount Pleasant 6-1. Local volleyball and tennis teams also saw action, and today's schedule includes Cranston East hosting Central at Cranston Stadium plus a Cranston co-op field hockey matchup, giving residents several chances to support hometown athletes.
