"Officers observed individuals fleeing the property and running through traffic on Cranston Street, creating a significant safety hazard for both pedestrians and motorists," the release said.

"During the response, officers observed juvenile attendees, some as young as 15, possessing and consuming alcoholic beverages," according to the release. "Four juveniles were arrested in connection with the incident for various offenses, including obstructing an officer in the execution of duty and disorderly conduct. Three juvenile females, ages 15 and 16, were subsequently identified as having consumed alcohol at the gathering. Preliminary breath tests administered at police headquarters confirmed the presence of alcohol. One of the three was additionally charged with possession of alcoholic beverages by an underage person and possession of one ounce or less of marijuana by a person under 17."

An adult residing at the Weston Avenue address, 47-year-old Silvia Acevedo, "stated that the gathering was intended to be a smaller event involving friends of her 17-year-old daughter," the release said.

Acevedo was arrested on a charge of furnishing or procurement of alcoholic beverages for underage persons, according to the release.

"Additionally, 52-year-old Mathias Henebury of 19 Custer Avenue, Johnston, was arrested in connection with the disturbance," the release said. "Henebury interfered with officers who were attempting to apprehend a juvenile fleeing from police. After being advised that he was under arrest, Henebury resisted officers and a responding supervisor."

Henebury was charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct, obstructing an officer in the execution of duty and resisting legal or illegal arrest, according to the release.
