CRANSTON, RI โ€” One of the victims of a deadly crash on Interstate 95 late Monday night was a Johnson and Wales student, The Sun Chronicle reported. The crash was one of two that happened nearly simultaneously on both sides of the highway, killing two people.

18-year-old Nilito Carlino was one of the victims, The Sun Chronicle said. He was a culinary arts student at Johnson and Wales University who "loved to cook," completing the vocational program at his high school and speaking out in support of CTE programs.

"We are terribly saddened to learn of Nilito's passing. He truly loved AHS, especially our Culinary Arts CTE program," Attleboro High School Principal Bill Runey told the Sun Chronicle. "We were very proud that he was continuing his craft through Johnson and Wales and had high hopes for Nilitoโ€™s future. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family."
