Blue Cross, Blue Shield RI Waives Fees For Coronavirus Testing
The company will waive co-pays, and cost-shares for testing related to the virus.
PROVIDENCE, RI โ Another Rhode Island insurance provider is offering its members testing for the new coronavirus, free of charge. On Friday, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Rhode Island announced that will waive co-pays, and cost-shares for testing related to the virus.
The new policy only applies at in-network labs, and covers commerical, Medicare Advantage and direct pay members who are determined to require testing by the guidelines set by the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention.
The new policy came the same day that Rhode Island-based pharmacy giant CVS announced a similar policy for Aetna members.
