Burrillville Teen Charged With Blackmailing Girls For Nude Photos

BURRILLVILLE, RI — A Burrillville teenager is facing child pornography charges after police said he blackmailed or harassed underage girls into sending him sexually explicit photos.

The 16-year-old boy was arrested by the Burrillville Police Department on Tuesday and charged with five counts of extortion, distribution of child pornography, possession of child pornography and five counts of cyber harassment.

According to police, the teenager had "a large quantity" of pornographic photos and videos in his possession, which he sent to other people.

The teenager, accompanied by his parents, turned himself in at Burrillville police headquarters and was ordered held at the Youth Detention Center following his arraignment at Family Court.
