The JAYCEES of Central Rhode Island are pleased to share our Earth Day Month schedule and invite your students, faculty, and service groups to participate in a series of educational, environmental, and community‑building events at the award‑winning JAYCEE Arboretum and Senator Roch Riverwalk in Riverpoint Community Park, 106 Hay Street, West Warwick.
EVENT SCHEDULE
• Saturday, April 25 – Earth Day Kickoff Land Survey Review and Arboretum Walk to open Earth Day Month.
• Saturday, May 9 – 29th Annual Ecology Day & Peace Prayer Ceremony at 10:00 AM Includes participation from religious leaders, veterans, civic groups, and volunteers. One hundred flowers will be planted in memory of the Station Fire Victims. Arbor Day activities and a community service project are included.
• Weekly Clean‑ups & Green‑ups – certain days at 10:30 AM Held April through October 31, weather permitting. Open to students, clubs, and service organizations per reservations.
West Warwick, the host community at the quandrant of the Cities of Cranston & Warwick and the Towns of Coventry & Scituate is recognized as a TREE CITY USA community, via the RIDEM Forestry & National Arbor Day Foundation and the Arboretum serves as a living outdoor classroom for ecology, environmental science, and community service.
We welcome schools, colleges, student organizations, and service clubs to join us or to coordinate group participation. These events offer meaningful opportunities for volunteer hours, environmental education, and community engagement.
