Central Falls Man Charged With Selling Cocaine In Cranston
Police found crack and powder cocaine in David Leite's rented vehicle.
CRANSTON, RI โ A Central Falls man was arrested and charged with selling cocaine in Cranston. 37-year-old David Leite was arrested on Wednesday after police found crack and powder cocaine in his rented vehicle.
Leite was driving the rental in Cranston when he was pulled over by police detectives. Inside the car, police found 39.5 grams of crack cocaine, 12.4 grams of powder cocaine and more than $13,000 cash. With the help of Central Falls police, Cranston officers searched Leite's Cowden Street apartment, finding more unidentified white powder that was sent to the state's toxicology lab for testing.
On Thursday, Leite was arrainged in Third District Court in Warwick one charges of manufacturing, possession and delivery of cocaine, one ounce to one kilogram. He was ordered held without bail until a bail hearing on Oct. 3.
