CLCF 11Us Ready to Defend Title at NE Regionals

The CLCF 11U Cal Ripken Baseball tournament team is ready to represent at the upcoming New England Regional Championship in Dover, N.H.

The tournament begins this upcoming Friday and Cranston will take the field on Saturday night at 5:30 p.m. against the host team.

The 11U team won the championship last year so they’re the team to beat entering the tournament.

Meanwhile the CLCF 10s are a little disappointed but put in a proud showing and played with heart at the state Cal Ripken tournament. They won four games and “stuck together until the very end.”

The 9s also played with heart but fell just short of moving on to regionals after losing against West Warwick in the statewide tournament. CLCF and West Warwick have had a friendly rivalry for years so Cranston will be pulling for West Warwick to bring home the New England Championship this year.
