Coventry Man Jailed After Traffic Stop: Cops
He was charged with forgery and counterfeiting of registration plates, police said.
CRANSTON, RI — A Coventry man was arrested and jailed after a traffic stop, police said.
Eliecer Ortiz, 46, was pulled over on Reservoir Avenue in Cranston shortly after 8 a.m. Sunday, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
Ortiz was arrested on a charge of forgery and counterfeiting of registration plates, according to the release.

Ortiz was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by a justice of the peace, held on a Rhode Island Parole Board Detention Warrant and taken to the Adult Correctional Institutions, the release said.
