CRANSTON, RI — Three inmates at Cranston's Adult Correctional Institute were placed in isolation Wednesday after developing flu-like symptoms, the Department of Corrections said. The three inmates are in the medium security facility and are being tested for the new coronavirus."Because of the heightened state of awareness regarding the COVID-19 crisis, we are taking every precaution to keep our population safe.," the department said. Until the test results come back, the facility has been placed on lockdown and is being thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. No other ACI buildings are on lockdown at this time.
