Cranston Man Makes Pornographic Videos Of 7-Year-Old: Prosecutors

CRANSTON, RI — A Cranston man was charged in federal court Wednesday after prosecutors said he coerced a 7-year-old for the purposes of creating pornographic pictures and videos.
Gregory Phillips, 42, was charged with production of child pornography and possession of child pornography.
Prosecutors said Phillips' actions were reported to the Cranston Police Department Detective and the Rhode Island State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force in June 2022 by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Phillips was arrested on Sept. 3 and ordered detained on state charges. He was taken into federal custody Wednesday, with a warrant issued on Oct. 26.
"United States Attorney Cunha thanks the Rhode Island Department of Attorney General for their assistance which led to the filing of a federal criminal complaint," the U.S. Attorney's office said in a statement.
