Cranston Man Shot While Driving His SUV
Police said that just after midnight Monday, one or possibly multiple shooters fired several rounds into an SUV belonging to Joseph Tejada.

PROVIDENCE, RI — A Cranston man was shot while driving his SUV on Monday, causing him to lose control and crash his car into a house.

Police said that just after midnight Monday morning, one or possibly multiple shooters fired several rounds into an SUV belonging to Joseph Tejada, 28. Tejada was driving on Virginia Avenue before being shot in the leg and crashing into a home at 240 Massachusetts Avenue, police said.
No one living at the house was hurt. Tejada was rushed to Rhode Island Hospital and is in stable condition, Commander Thomas Verdi told the Providence Journal.
